Yes it is possible, you’ll have to either take him as a carry on, or pay for him to be checked, depending on how big the dog is. You should call the airline you are using and ask them what the fees are etc. But many many airlines let pets come along. If you’re dog is oversized and has to be checked, he will be in the bottom of the plane with the luggage. A good way to travel with an animal is to go to your vet and they’ll give you something that will help them sleep through most of it, so you don’t have to worrie as much. Hope this helps!
On domestic flights you must provide a dog carrier, water and food.
On international flights, it depends on the distance and the rules of the country where you land. Some quarantine the dogs for up to 2 weeks before releasing the dog back into the owners’ custody. The quarantine kennels don’t have a good reputation in many cases.
If the flight is across the ocean, passenger airlines may not accept the dog. You might have to use a special carrier that specifically provides air travel for pets.
It’s possible one way or another if you’re willing to go through the expense and the effort.
Generally, yes. It all depends on the airline, where and how far you are traveling, the weather, the size of the dog, and whether they are allowed in the cabin or as cargo. Also some short-nosed breeds are banned from flying during certain months due to their ability to easily overheat.
